lost ringtones

I have my own ringtone and notification mp3s set up in file on sd card under
sounds-media-ringtones and
sounds-media-notifications.
they WERE working fine but now the phone has reverted to standard ones and it can't see them in the "choose your tone" lists. They are still there and working!

i had that problem before. couldn't find a way to to re-link. best way is to root and move the sound files to /system/media/notifications and /system/media/ringtones respectively and change permissions to rw-r-r.

if your not rooted there may be app in the playstore that will help you.
