Help Lost Saved Contacts on phone!!

Hi there,

I m using a Samsung Galaxy S - SGH-T959 phone since 8 months and never had any problems.
On one fine day when I pulled the phone out of my phone, I found that all the Contacts saved on phone are lost!! I didnt try to update nor I did something to fiddle with the phone.

All the contacts on my SIM card are still safe. Only the contacts that are saved on my phone are lost. I synced through GMAIL/Facebook and got a few contacts back on phone. But I didnt get the contacts which I ONLY saved on phone.

P.S: I didnt take any backup , I was too confident on Android.

Kindly help to recover all my contacts. I m still using version 2.1update1 on this phone.

Same thing here. Today i am taking my phone and no address/contacts. Is there any way to recover it?

Pics, apps are there... only contacts, btw settings of phone got lost + all desktop came to factory settings.

Any hints?

Same happened with me few days ago, I received a call from a known/saved contact and then after the conversation ended, I opened the call log to call him again but call log was not showing any names, only the phone numbers.

Soon I found out that my beloved SGS has deleted all my contacts, I was lucky to get back all of them since I only add my contacts to Google Contacts which are synced and saved on my gmail account.

I could not figure out why it happened, but everything else remained unchanged.
