Help Lots of problems started all at once today

I've had my Samsung Galaxy S2 for about a year now and have had no problems with it until today. This afternoon it started to turn itself on and off. I took the battery out and put it back in hoping that would fix the problem, the second I put in the battery it turned itself on. Then went back to turning on and off. I've also done a factory reset and checked that all the system updates are up to date. When the battery started to die I plugged it in, and when the screen went dark it would not let me swipe it back on until I took out the charger. And pressing the power button does not work either. I also cannot get it to turn off (unless it randomly decides it wants to) now. I really don't know what to do as all of this just randomly started all at once today. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately it's not letting me use the power button at all. Before it decided not to let me use it, I did try that. It has stopped turning itself on and off now, but like I said it won't let me use the darn button my own self now. And instead of turning on and off the screen itself is just going on and off.
 
Have you had any luck finding out what your issue was? I was having the same problem and Best Buy ordered me a new phone and my new one is doing some of these things already after a week. The lock screen is flashing on and off and it is turning itself on and off. I can still use the on/off button but couldn't on the original phone I had replaced.
 
If you find out anything please let me know. I tried new battery , not confident in that . Still having issues sometimes it turns off sometimes it doesn't right away. Have called sprint , factory reset twice, bought new battery , nothing. Thing is it worked fine before this other than getting a little laggy . Sometimes power button works , sometimes it won't lock screen , others it will bring up the power off or reset menu . No answers.
 
You all should be calling Samsung for support. I heard that they are having to replace some USB jacks on this model.
