Loud squeal noise when answering phone?

1. Most times when I answer the phone with my Pixel 2, I get a really loud high pitch noise, sometimes only once, and sometimes twice. Very loud, hurts my ears. Anyone else? I'm on ATT.

2. Also, anyone else have issues with their dongle? I just slightly move it and audio cuts out, like bad connection to phone.

3. Volume control also not so good on my pixel when using bluetooth headphones. I've tried several different headphones, same results. Volume up or down, it takes a bit for the phone to recognize, and then it's not a smooth increase or decrease.

I searched for these questions/issues on the forum but didn't see any the same. Apologies if there are.

haha no cat involved! Doubt it's an interference issue as it happens no matter where I am... guess I'll chalk it up to hardware issue maybe. Thanks.

I don't have any squeal, nor problems with the dongle cutting out (though I've not used the Google one very much). I don't have any BT headphones so can't comment on the last.

You don't have anything obstructing the noise cancellation mic on the top do you? Funny sounds in call could conceivably be related to that.

I've never experienced any squealing when answering calls (Verizon). I have 3 different BT headsets that work perfectly with my Pixel 2. If you activate Developer Mode on your Pixel, you can change the AVRCP version of BT until one works for you. I'm using the newest (default) with no issues.

Another poster (Codesplice) has directions on how to do this: https://androidforums.com/posts/7720736/
