Love How My Note 4 died right before 7 came out

Anyone else have a horrible experience with Android updates? It makes my phone worse each time.

My note 4 died 2 weeks before the 7 came out. I went to the store today not thinking they would have coral blue and they did have it stock to my surprise. I loveeee it, but it should be a 6 inch screen by now.
 
I don't think it's an android thing. You think other types of smartphones have lots of problems where this kind of stuff happens. ? That does suck that your N4 crapped out 2 weeks before you got the N7 though.
 
My Note 4 almost died too, but mostly because I was getting so frustrated with it that I came close to chucking it on more than a few occasions.

Do you think the update caused your phone to die or did it just die outright?
 
The Update killed mine. Had to use an old note 3 for a few weeks before note 7 released. Really pissed me off.

I had a Dev edition Note 4 and had a custom (stock based) ROM on it that I never updated. It was still 5.0.1 version of android. I felt no need to update to a newer custom ROM so never had that problem. Sometimes updates do cause issues for sure.
 
I never got the marshmallow update to my Note 4...but for the past 2 weeks it would randomly reboot or just lock up. Tried everything...factory reset, new battery, new sd card, no sd card...nothing worked. But yeah...2 weeks before the Note 7,...so what do I have now? Hmmm, oh yeah, the Note 7.
 
Funnily enough I get my note 7 next week here in the UK and the last few days my note 4 has been playing silly beggars.. It's definitely feeling upset at being replaced
