I don't know if anyone else has experienced this. It has happened to me twice now. When I first received the phone from Sprint telesales, I plugged it in and turned it on. I made some test calls before it was fully charged. I made about 4-5 calls and every time I could not hear the other person and they could not hear me. Also, the speakerphone icon was grayed out and not an option. I turned the phone off and let it charge until it was nearly fully charged. I turned it back on and made a call and the sound was fine and the speakerphone option was now available to select and worked.
For about 3 weeks the phone worked flawlessly. Flash forward to tonight and the problem happened again. I was on a phone call, switched to speakerphone which was fine for a few seconds. I then suddenly lost all sound and the speakerphone option was grayed out. The phone call was still connected but I could not hear the other person and they could not hear me. This happened when the battery was starting to get somewhat low (but no low battery warnings yet).
Do you think this is a faulty phone? I am ticked because I was told not to worry about it since it seemed like a one time fluke prior to the first full charge. Now it happened again and I am outside the 14 day return policy (nice they changed that from 30 the day the Epic 4g Touch was released).
So has anyone else had this issue or heard of it?
