Low download speeds in Des Moines area

Hello, I have a Droid Inc and getting around 100 kbps download speeds on 3g network. It seems to get better at times but wondering if this is normal since all the old droids and iphones are on 3g. Just seems to be getting slower. Thanks

If you've used more than 2 GB of data in your.current billing cycle, you're probably getting "network managed".

Might also be the tower you're using when in your area.

I am on 4G with the Droid Bionic, and at my house, with 2-3 bars of 4G Service I only get around 450kbps download, but around 9000 kbps upload.

Once I drive ~7 minutes into town, my download goes up to around 21000kbps download and 16000kbps upload, also with 2-3 bars of 4G Service.

My conclusion is that the tower Im connected to at my house sucks, I've been meaning to call Tech Support but havent had the chance yet.

Might be the same problem in your area that the tower you're hitting is just slow.

Thanks for the info. No I haven't hit the 2gb limit. I have noticed that at some times its decent then like 5 minutes later its slow. I even check it with my wifes droid which is the same as mine. Maybe its just too many people on at once. I run my slingbox once in a great while and video gets choppy at times.
