Help Low earpiece and speaker phone problem

I just got a brand new S5 and noticed the earpiece and speaker phone volume is very low compared to any phone that I have used. When you turn the volume up the voice clarity becomes distorted/muffled/cracking and you could hear the whole phone housing vibrate. This happens during a call and when using media.

Has anyone else experienced this on this phone? I can't believe that a flagship phone that is over $600 would have this essential function problem when lower end phones are much superior in this area.

Did I just receive a faulty phone or is this common for this model?

The speaker audio is okay on my phone, but the earbud audio is a bit low for my ears.... but I have bad ears.

Using an FM modulator to port the audio jack audio to the modulator, which then can be received on my m/c's FM radio also results in lower audio than it should.

My Blue Parrot Bluetooth headset works great and is my favorite way to use my phone.

I have experienced no audio problems when using my S5, with or without my Bluetooth earpiece (Jawbone ERA). The sound is clear and there are no volume issues.

I have certainly not had the problems you've described, e.g., distorted sound, crackling, and/or vibrations. Perhaps you've received a defective phone.
