Low screen brightness on switch on.

Hello I don't use the auto screen brightness as I never think it's at the right setting.
But ocaionally if I've been inside and come out into the sun I can't see anything on the screen to unlock it.
It would be good to be able to let's say quickly press the power button a couple times to make the phone go to full brightness.
Is this a feature somehow?

I don't remember if there is such a feature, but you can put the phone on auto brightness and set the brightness level of the auto brightness. Works great for me and I don't see any problem in auto brightness.

I don't see that on my VZW S5, but if you can find an app that performs that function, then Nova Launcher Prime lets you double-tap/press the Home button to launch an app. I don't know if that feature is available in the free version, or if other 3rd party launchers provide a similar function. Another way forward, if you can find a brightness toggle app, is Wave Launcher.

You can probably get Tasker to do this. I suggest you look into it as it's a great utility for automating things on your phone.
