I was hoping someone could help with my issue of dropping LTE. When I was on MetroPCS native network, after the merger I'd drop 4G periodically during the day. Toggled airplane mode to correct.
After switching to a GSM device (LG F6), the problem continued. However, the difference (IDK if it matters) is that with Metro, the 4G icon would vanish and I'd drop down to 1x (I'm not in an EVDO market).
On the GSM device, the icon doesn't drop; I the connection slows to a crawl until I toggle airplane mode. I don't get the benefit of being kicked down to H+ or even E. Though, if I keep my phone set to H+ this problem is avoided. However, I don't want to do that.
I called a couple of Metro stores and got conflicting answers. One person told me they were "working on the network" Another told me he'd never heard of this and suggested I bring the device in to be troubleshot.
Your thoughts? I've been dealing with this for 3 months on my F6, and for a few months on my Motion before that. It's gotten really old.
