M8 issue with HDMI on Samsung TV

good evening, I hope someone can help me with the issue I'm having on my M8 android tv box using a samsung tv. Whenever I run xbmc the hdmi connection between the tv and the box is lost after about 20-30. This only happens when I am running xbmc not when running say showbox or streaming a film from my hard drive, only with using xbmc.
I've tried different hdmi leads, using different ports and I've actually had this same problem with two different M8 boxes.
Is there an incompatibility issue between Samsung TVs and the M8 boxes? Has anyone else experience this and if so, have you found or know of a solution as it's very annoying that I can't watch anything on xbmc for more than 20-30 before the connection is lost.
The blue triangle light stays on but the tv reports that there is not a device connects to the hdmi port so I have to unplug the m8 and plug it back in for the tv to register it.
Thanks for all your help.

First of all you have 3 power saving features possibly running, the Samsung TV ecosence (or whatever they call it), the M8 box and in Kodi itself, there could be a clash going on, also Samsung TV's have had a history of flakey running ports, check for Samsung system firmware updates.

I'm running an M8 box on a Samsung TV using Kodi (15.0) and no issues ? Maybe try re-installing Kodi, make sure you backup all settings and add-ons first tho.

Hope this helps.

I have a similar problem and its doing my nut in ! I work away from home and i use my m8 on a logik 32" running kodi 15 and no problems , but when i take my box home and watch something on my hitachi 42" the picture goes black but audio still plays after 20mins or so, then i have to reset it and start again from where i left off. I to have tried different hd leads but i dont know what it could be .

Yup, had 'almost' the same problem. Seems to be down to the HDMI and Samsung TV in some way as when I connect to my PC monitor I have no problems. My main issues are: regular Black Screens needing disconnecting the power and rebooting the whole thing. Lose of sound, for some reason without warning the HDMI sound setting on the TV goes to OFF.

I never had any of these issues before using another OTT Android tv box

Running latest Kodi 15.2 through a Samsung Blueray player then JS9000 TV .
