Help M8 OTT - possible to get Android 5 on it ?

Current Android 4.4.2

So the new Kodi (v17 - Krypton) requires Android 5 or higher. I'm having a devil of a time trying to find out if there is a firmware that will upgrade my box.

Any and all help us greatly appreciated.

Hi I'm new on this but I have the same problem ,My ott m8 is 4.4 and the new Kodi 17. is not support I nead 5. vercion how I cant do if anybody can't Help Thancks

Android updates are usually supplied by device manufacturers, so check for OTA updates in the settings, and if nothing available then contact the supplier. Although if they're Amlogic SoC devices, might be something on XDA Devs for them, like custom ROMs.
