I have a m8 and it works great except someyime in the middle of a movie it will shut off the only way to get it back on is unplugging it than replugging it back in

m8 tv box shuts off randomly

was also going to wipe cache and factory reset the box but I can put it in recovery but cant scroll down in the menu

I would check the power saving settings in both android and kodi to ensure these are not set and are powering off your device.
Is it roughly the same time period each time or random ? Is the device overheating, they can get quite hot and depends if it is placed near something hot ? Just a thought ?
