Help M8S Android Device

I have an M8S device and when I select the "Playstore" icon, the app launches a blank screen. Does this have something to do with not being logged into my Google account or is this app busted? The reason why I want this app working is so that I can install a number of apps to see if I can get Kodi to post album art.

Thanks. That;s what I thought. So now I've tried logging into my google account and I get an error message back saying "can't connect to google server" please try again later. I;ve tired on different days and I get the same response. What's going on?
