Mac Syncing Questions

Hey All,

Android newb here, but suddenly very interested in it due to the DROID. Love the look of both the phone and OS and I definitely think I am getting it. I've read all the reviews etc.. but nothing mentions how it will sync with my Mac. What are my options? Can I sink with iCal, Address Book, iTunes? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Doubletwist mate. Great software, especially since it is free. Good for syncing movies, music, and photos. Also, it will take it right from your iApps (iPhoto, iTunes) folders, so no work on your part. Smooth huh.

As for syncing your mail and calenders, you are missing the boat on the wire sync idea.

The whole idea of the Droid (Google) was to break the boundaries of wires. Switch your main email and calender to gmail, and let the phone worry about syncing wireless for you. It is awesome. I have been a Mac user since 82 playing the Bruce Lee game with my Commodore 64. You will not look back after syncing your iCal to Gmail calender. My wife has the Hero, while I suffer with the iPhone on ATT.

NO MORE, I say. Contract ends December 21st. Make mine a Hero if the Dragon isn't out.

Just to really blow your mind. I am up for a new laptop, and it may look to be a PC with the new Windows 7. The 64 bit architecture, and the UI has made the choice of only Mac for graphics a thing of the past. Oh well, it is nice to be a consumer today.

Patiently waiting for the DRAAAAGGGGGGOOOONNNNN!

Currently: iPhone 3g with loaded PowerMac G5 and 24" Apple monitor.

Thanks, I understand that.
So my next step would be to get all of my contacts and iCal dates up in Google and the phone will do the rest.

And when I add someone via phone, it will automatically update into google which I will be able to see via my desktop? (same with iCal?)

You can sync both ical and apple contacts with your google account. Once everything is set up you can mac changes on your mac, online through google or on your phone and all devices will be synced.
