Do I need to install Macdrive on each computer that I want to be able to read & write to an external hard drive or can I just somehow install it on the EHDD so any PC I connect it to can read/write to it?

According to my experience, you just need to install it in your PC.

you just only need to install macdrive to yr only pc not on remote one...
