Magnetic car mount help

I'm considering buying a magnetic car mount because I'm lazy and don't want to have to fit my phone into the mount I currently have, but wondered about NFC.


I've got a thin Spigen case on my vG6 (dropped it, smashed the rear glass, had it fixed, don't want to repeat that again!) so I can place the magnet on the case rather than the phone, but if I do will this block or prevent Android Pay payments while the phone is in the case? Do these magnetic mounts for that?


Anyone tried one or tips on where to place the magnet to stop this happening?

I can't say for sure about the NFC issue, but I've never liked the magnetic mounts. If the case was smooth enough you should be able to mount it there.

For the past several years I've been using an iOttie one-touch and it's been super easy to use one-handed and has yet to drop any of my phones (including the behemoth Nexus 6).

I've got a magnetic mount, and I've got no problem using Android Pay or wireless charging with a small metal plate between my case and phone.
