magnifier on Android with externel keyboard

Hi I’m running Android 6 on a TV Box using an external (so-called “multimedia”) keyboard. I’m looking for a method to zoom/magnify screen. I’ve tried all sorts of combinations, Ctrl. + - Ctrl 1 etc. Most of the relevant apps come up with “not recommended”. I’m wondering if I go with an external mouse will the scrollwheel zoom? Has anybody come up with a solution, it’s no problem on a Phone…triple tap on screen. I’m goin’ nuts here…any help appreciated

I've never heard of any magnify feature on a TV box. Phones usually have it yes, because their screens are small compared to your average TV set. The scroll-wheel on a mouse is sometimes for scrolling though menus, or whatever else the an app designer decides. And keyboard combinations for magnifify won't work either, because the box just doesn't support them. There are third-party magnifier apps, but they're usually intended for touch-screen use, i.e. on a phone or tablet.
