mail staying on server

My mail doesn't come through some not all if it stays on server ?

I can't really answer your question without knowing some details, such as which email (gmail or other) and if this is over mobile data or wifi connection.

However, I have seen this occur with gmail in intermittent data connection times. The only way to resolve is to reboot the phone or clear cache and data in the gmail app.
