I have been using MailDroid for ages.
Lately on my Note 8 (But even on my Note 4)
It will just be black (or white ) screen - and basically lock up.
I have cleared Cache Partition and even cleared Data in settings app manager maildroid - reset it up.
It Still ends up happening now and then.
(I emailed MailDroid but it is not overly supported)
But I have Never seen Any email app that has some of the features that Mail Droid Has
The Main one I use many times a day is:
You can swipe to the right (It moves all email 'previews' to the right) and then there are check boxes at each email to mark read - delete etc.
After you do that you can swipe down past the check boxes selecting them as you swipe down.
Makes it easy to delete a group or mark a group read.
