Major Verizon update

My phone had a large update today. It took 25 minutes to install.

Hardly a major update if you are referring to the PF2 build, as it is on exactly the same old changelist # as the previous two releases, PE1 & PD2. All three are #7722939 and this is just a Google security update. See...

Verizon rarely do actual firmware updates for their models. The Samsung issued Global models are already on changelist #8252943

After the update I am experiencing terrible battery life and overheating issues.

First, try wiping the phone's cache partition... something that should be done after any update, and see if that helps.
