Make or break S Voice

Deisenaut

Lurker
I have one feature i need from s voice. If it works then ill use it, if it doesn't then i probably won't.

My wife is called Aoife (pronounced "ee-fa") - i had a nokia about 10 years ago that you could record voice tags, which worked cool. Will gs3 have a way of doing this or when i say 'call Aoife ' will it just not work? - im not going to resort to saying 'call ay-oo-ife'

Running S Voice on my SG 2 and it seems ok if a little slow at times. It has no problem understanding me and I have a strong local accent

You could always spell her name phonically in your contacts list. First name Eefa instead of Aoife. It's only on your phone, and it's not like you wouldn't know who the contact is. I would think that would solve the problem.

Smart move. Don't think his wife would love that idea though haha ;)

I did just notice on my Droid X, while editing a contact, if you hit the expand arrow next to the name there are fields for phonic spelling for given, middle, and family name. Not sure if these are used in voice dialing or not.
