Hi, I installed an app that poses to be Facebook Messenger but isn't. Now when I look for it in Settings/Apps I can't find it, and therefore cant uninstall it. Avast cant detect anything either. My phone is Leagoo M8(normal version).

If you can't uninstall it, then you have most likely given it administrator permissions. Goto settings >> security >> device administrators. Then, goto that fake messenger and deselect it (revoke admin privileges).

Where did you download this app from?
Did you download it only without it installing?
I ask this because once installed, it WILL be listed in your installed apps list.

Well I'd start by hooking to my pc and opening a CMD window and using ADB to connect
Code:
adb shell
Code:
pm list packages
and see if you can find it there.
And I'm sorry to bust any bubbles but if this Rouge app is programmed to do so, it can
Hide it's self upon install....

OP is your device rooted?
