Manually Start Profile via Widget

Hello,

I've been using Tasker on my personal phone for a few years now and I love it. I recently got an Android phone for work and want to use Tasker on it to change the settings for when i'm on call (every 4 weeks).

I don't see a way in tasker to set a task to run starting say Next Monday and then re-occur every 4 weeks from then on. So, I'd like to put a tasker widget on the main screen to enable a profile/task to put the volume all the way up, etc. Then, when I disable it, to put the phone back on Vibrate.

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to Android Forums.

For your initial need ...
In the profile use Calender Entry to read one of your Google calendars.
Put a repeating entry in the calendar with a unique name.
When the uniae name is read trigger an action.

Perhaps better ...
Use two events and a global variable ... like ...
The entry my-flag-on to turn %Flag on
The entry my-flag-off to turn %Flag off
Any Tasker profile, task, or scene could then tell if you were in the special period.

How do I make tasker trigger off a calendar event? I have an event in my calendar now when I'm on call and I can set one reoccurring when it ends too.. That's a great idea.. but I don't see where to tie it to my calendar.

I just set it up... I go on call next Monday so we'll see if/how it works.
