Help Map location wrong

I'm relatively new to android. I have a Huawei G630 that I really like. A couple of issues I need a bit of help with - First is (what seems to be a very common problem) is the message that there is insufficient space to download an app, when there is actually a ton of space. I've done the normal clean-up of cache etc. I resorted to googling it and followed the instructions of one guy that involved uninstalling play store and reverting to the factory version of this. That didn't help. Second issue - now when I go to maps, instead of it locating me where I am (in New Zealand) as it always did previously, it puts me in Russia! This is since doing the above change. Help!!

For location make sure you got GPS turned on, and it's not just relying on WiFi location, which I found is sometimes completely wrong, like wrong country or continent. I was placed in Russia a couple of times as well recently, however I had been previously using the WiFi at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport.

How much storage is actually free? If it's less than 1GB that's when may have problems with the Play store, I think

Thanks Mike. Yes, GPS is on. I have 812 Mb free internal and 29 Gb on SD card (which I have set to default storage). Funny thing with the map is that yesterday when I was out, it located me immediately in the right place. Then today, I'm back in Russia!
