Help Maps and latitude freezing since 2.2

Has anyone had any trouble with maps or latitude since the Froyo 2.2 upgrade? My phone has started freezing.

Yes! It's incredibly frustrating! I'm glad I'm not alone with this problem, but ticked that it is even a problem!

I have even reinstalled the aps and still have the issue.

I get in on my motorola defy as soon as there is a 2.2 rom involved.

Running autokiller seems to help a lot though.

There is a solution, but you have to "root" your phone. Then, install "busybox installer" and use it to install busybox. Install "sysctl" and start it. Increase the first parameter on the screen to 4096 and apply.

If you don't like to have a rooted phone, you can unroot it after this procedure and get rid of busybox and sysctl.
