Maps directions through car stereo

Hi,

trying to find out, if there is a setting that allows me to hear directions from Maps through the car stereo when bluetoothing the phone.

Any advice is appreciated.

It should just work by default.

Go into your Bluetooth settings and find your car stereo and click the cog/settings beside it and check the media/phone audio options are on.

With my car, there's a button on the dash to select the audio source e.g. FM radio, etc. If I don't select the Bluetooth option, then I won't hear the audio from the phone.

My GM vehicle will not broadcast map voice via Bluetooth. Never did on 3 different GM models, different years. And yes no luck with any settings

Agreed.. That's what I do, use Bluetooth option and maps will even override & duck the music I'm playing to let you better hear

I've got one of those MP3/bluetooth FM Radio Handsfree things from EBay when it's paired, whatever audio is on the phone gets picked up and re-broadcast on FM. they're not expensive (from about $4.00) and work well (At least mine does!)
