I just DL'd the New Google maps, it is better but I have a few more improvments.
A: currently it uses GPS to give a arrow head for heading. It should use the built in compass first then default to the GPS method.
B: Better/easier History Browsing.
C: the ability to drag and re-route directions from map mode.
D: miles traveled/ miles left.
E: Periodic tracking for mileage tracking.
