Help Maps Showing Incorrect My Location

Sam-Droid

Newbie
Hi All,

I'm located in Bangalore, India. When using Maps on my Samsung Galaxy S, its showing my location to be somewhere in Canada. Why is this so?

I have WiFi connectivity currently on my mobile. Is there any settings that needs to be enabled for the maps to give my correct location?

Thanks.

Hi All

Ignore this, I was able to resolve the issue. The issue was that I was trying to use GPS inside my apartment which has couple of floors more above me. So, due to this, the phone was unable to get signals from the satellites. When I tried this on my balcony, it showed me correct location.

Hello Guys,

I brought a new SGS few days back and having problems while loading google maps. My phone just goes over wi-fi to connect to internet and does not use gprs hence it failed everytime to load maps. Please help as I don't have wi-fi network around my place.

Rgds,
