Well, the Maps app updated last week in line with the Google announcements. we now get to cache the maps offline, although it's a bit of a faff to do and results in large downloads.
One other thing I've noticed is that the Text-to-speech when navigating has changed (for me, in the UK - used to be a female voice).
I now get a man's voice and it is a great deal quieter. There appears to be a glitch, since I still get the old voice for the first instruction, then it switches to the new one.
When using the Car app, if I've got music / radio playing, when the voice navigation kicks in, it's far too low. However, the new voice does sound a lot clearer.
Does anybody know if I can adjust the volume of this, and if there are any other settings? I can't even find out whether I can choose the voice. I remember a long time ago there were "Media" and "Navigation" volumes, but they got merged into "Media".
