With March Madness fully underway Laptop Magazine has created their own March Madness Smartphone competition, in which they pit the best handsets from all the major telco's and mfg's against each other in bracketed format.
They've already completed three games with the iPhone 3-GS handily beating the HTC Touch Pro II, the Moto Droid having "devoured" (pun intended) the Blackberry Curve 8530 and the Blackberry Bold crushing the Palm Pixi. The game being played now is the HTC HD2 vs. BB Storm 2.

The N1 is up against the Palm Pre Plus in the first round, though that game has not started. I'm thinking if we spread the word around and get enough members to check in and vote when an Android phone is playing we can sway the results to the point where we have the Moto Droid vs. N1 in the final. For the Moto Droid to get there, however, it will need to get past the iPhone 3-GS. So this is our opportunity to stick it to all the Apple fanboi's and Steve Jobs himself. So spread the word and get out the vote!
