Market comments

I think a few people have said this before but I am sick of Spam and Boasters on the Market. Every-time I go to view an App, Like Twitter, either DroidPub.com or some other website has posted Spam in the comments section. I always mark as spam but they still go back every 3 hours to post it again! Another thing are boasters! I know some are only giving good feedback of how it runs but still. "Oh yes works perfectly well on my

What I get sick of is stupid comments like "Lame" and "Stupid" from people who download an app they have no use for or don't understand how to use! Grow up, people. If it doesn't work, tell us. If you don't like it, fine, say so, give a good reason. But kindergarten epithets? Please...

it's all part of the "open"ness of the Android system. lots of crap to weed through, and there always will be.

I'd rather sift through crap than have Android decide what's allowed and what's not allowed.

The "Boasters" are serving a purpose, letting people know if a certain app works with a certain phone. I always mention that I have a rooted Moment, and certainly not because that is something to boast about. I don't think that the majority of the people doing the same are trying to do anything other than be helpful.

The single word comments and warez spam are really annoying though.

Ya like Zezozose said, I dont think they are necessarily "boasting" about their phones, but more telling other people who may have the same phone that it did or didnt work for them. When I see an app comment that says "Doesnt work. Incredible" I usually dont bother, it helps.

What gets me is all of the people who download a widget and say "doesn't open" and give it 1 star, hahaha.

maybe there should be ratings to comments like on amazon to weigh down the unhelpful 1 star rankings. A rating must have at least 4 words.

This.

Also, I'd very much like to see a Market feature (or app) listing those of your apps that are still lacking a review -- from you. That would be a very nice way to encourage users to rate their apps, and thus (hopeully) lower the noise ratio in comments.
