Apps Market Place

I am looking for away to get all the data( name of app, comments, ect.) from the Android Marketplace.

I am currently in college and am doing a project to write an algorithm to predict what people will like. So I want to write an app that will allow users to rate the apps on there phone then will recommend new ones.

I have done some research and found AppBrain - the best Android apps and games on the Android market but I am wondering if there is others out there and if Google has anything out there for this?

I.e. you want a database of every app and its associated ratings, comments, description, screenshots, price (Or lack of), etc...?

If I'm assuming correctly then you have more chance of seeing a squadron of pigs fly past your window.

This information is commercially sensitive not to mention valuable. Google want to give you access to it, but in a controlled way for commercial reasons.
