Marketplace not downloading?

The Marketplace is not downloading anything for me? Even the Talk method isn't working. What I mean by that is that Google Talk isn't even working for my phone...

Any ideas, besides hard-resetting?

I had this problem when downgrading from android 2.2 back down to android 2.1. I couldn't use the market or anything that uses google servers for 3 days, then all of the sudden everything worked lol.

Reboot simply by powering the phone down.

Do you have a Google account that contains your contacts? If so, no worries...they'll still be there no matter what happens.

Are you logging into Google on the phone? Have you tried logging out and logging back in?

1.) This has been going on for weeks.
2.)No. I use Yahoo and other sites besides Google.
3.)Already tried, sadly.

So should I just go to a Sprint store?

Hmm...the only other thing I could suggest is to clear the Market cache. What concerns me the most is that Google Talk isn't working; that's odd and not something I've come across to date. I guess it doesn't help that I don't have an EVO.

You might consider importing your contact into Gmail just as a backup, even if you mainly use Yahoo.

If a Sprint store is handy, I'd try that before doing a hard reset. Hopefully you'll get someone knowledgeable that can actually help.

If you do decide to hard reset, try something like MyBackup - Android app on AppBrain beforehand. I've read mixed results, but it's worth a try.
