Marshmallow “System UI Tuner” -- can't activate

TedT_USA

Lurker

OK, I have an LG V10 H900 (AT&T) recently upgraded OTA to Marshmallow 6.0.

Now here is my conundrum.

I cannot activate “System UI Tuner”.

Yes, I have activated “developer options”.

Yes, I have expanded the “notifications area” at the top.

Yes, I have pressed the Settings “gear” for multiple seconds.

Yes, I have interspersed the above steps with reboots.

= = = = =

Any thoughts, suggestions, etc.?

Of course AT&T may have disabled the function.

Thanks in advance.

I have the same phone same carrier, after looking around it looks like both LG and Samsung are the problem and have blocked the feature. :(

From an AT&T employee who posts independently of his employer in the AT&T wireless forum, he posted that AT&T's version of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) does not support the feature.
C'est la vie.
& thanks as well.

Like Ted, I too cannot activate "System UI Tuner" on my new Galaxy Tab S2 running Marshmallow 6.0.1. Also, like Ted, I followed all the steps he did.

The other question I have is how to disable the item that pops up at the bottom of the screen with information I don't need or want and interferes with the keyboard. Sorry I don't know the name of it. Have only had the Tablet for 2 days. My Galaxy S4 is still running Jellybean 4.3. So Marshmallow is very new to me. The S4 was easy to root but don't want to void my warranty right out of the box on the Tab S2.

Any help with above would be greatly!

Sincerely,
Kathy
