Marshmallow OTA on Sprint....Problem

I received the Marshmallow update yesterday afternoon. This is an S5 Sport rather than simply an S5. Similar enough.

When the update finished I noticed I had many icons on my screens that appeared to be sort of Greyed out. When I would click on them it said App not installed. Looks like all or most of my Apps that had been moved to the Ext memory card were not recognized anymore. Seems all or most of the Apps that were default phone Apps or Apps still running from phone memory appeared untouched.

Also appears the Applications menu has changed on the phone too. I cannot find a way to show downloaded Apps, Running Apps, Apps on External memory, etc. Perhaps they did away with this feature. You are still able to move Apps(some of them anyway) to Ext memory but it's not obvious at first.

This caught me by surprise as I'd never had an issue with an update before. I would typically have done a hard reset anyway but I am forced to now after this update. So in the process of reinstalling all my Apps and tweaking.

The one thing I had to do before was reinstall SMS Backup and Recovery(it was already installed prior to the update) and make a new backup of my Text messages. Everything else was already backed up.

I have heard of other folks who have experienced similar issues when an update was performed, and some of the apps had been moved to the extSD card.

The new OS does not know where the rest of the app is, so it gets lost, even though it is still on the SD card.

Somebody on another forum suggested Marshmallow does not allow for moving Apps to an Ext SD card anymore. I am able to move some now. Also mentioned an option to format an Ext SD card as "Internal" memory kinda like the new phones with no Ext SD card option. During the reset however I did not notice that as an option when I reformatted my SD card.
