Max audio sample rate

Hello my fellow men

I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro (aka Mango or SK17i) and I would like to know what's the highest sample/sampling rate it's internal DAC (Digital-to-analog converter) can process and output to the speaker or headphones? The phone can play .wav max at 16-bit/88.2Khz but it probably gets downsampled to a much lower one. Does anybody know which exactly?

Excuse me for my poor English.

Thanks

The phone's DAC most likely outputs at 16bit 44.1kHz, what's often called "CD quality". It won't be anything lower than that.

I know a few older MP3 players, car stereos etc, had problems with WAV and MP3 recorded at 16bit 48kHz. These shouldn't be a problem with current devices though.

Thanks. Some say it's 16bit 48kHz, is there a way find it out exactly? BTW I can record sound at 16bit 48kHz, doesn't it use the same DAC/ADC?

EDIT: OK, since it natively records video with 48kHz audio, I'm making an assumption that it must playback it too.
