Maxx to Maxx HD

If I order a Maxx HD off of Amazon Wireless can I just take the sim card from Maxx that I already have, and will it go ahead and activate.

MAXX is Micro-sim, Maxx HD is Mini-sim, not the same

Maxx HD sim is only the Gold Colored part of the card
