Maybe a happy accident?

I'll be the first to admit I'm kind of dumb about electricity. I have a new Galaxy S3, coming from a Droid X. When I went to charge the Galaxy this afternoon, I inadvertently (without realizing it until much later) grabbed my old DX charger and connected it to the S3. It charged up just fine.

Is there anything wrong, or potentially harmful (voltage? Amperage? Not even sure of the correct terms...) in using the Moto charger for the S3? If not, then I just gained an extra wall charger and car charger (woo hoo). If so, I'll bundle them up and put them away so I don't make the same mistake twice.

Thanks for any guidance!

Shouldn't be a problem.
Just check the output Voltage and Amps of the DX charger compared to the SIII.
I use my old Desire HD and my Logitech Mouse charger on my S3 cause they are all the same specs.

OK - here's the report:

Moto charger
Input: .2A, 100-240V 50/60 hz
Output: 5.1V (long bar with 3 dashes under it) 850mA

Samsung charger
Input: .5A 100-240V 50/60 hz
Output: 5.0V (long bar with 3 dashes under it) 1.0 A

Good? Bad? No statistical difference?

its fine, if i am reading it correctly it just means it will take a little longer to charge the battery with the motto charge cord.

As stated above, All good but with slightly lower amps it'll take a little longer to change.
It's the output you look at.

They are both MicroUSB, and follow MicroUSB standards, so feel free to use whichever one you want, you just gained another charger!
