I am not for the whole OS per manufacturer thing. It would split the community too much and making apps would be a pain. This would further give Apple the advantage.

Jha is shooting himself in the foot... Android practically SAVED Moto from complete irrelevance... Moto tried to develop their own OS and FAILED miserably!! He should be THANKING Google for Android - not spouting off his big mouth...

WTF is going on?? Jha, the Sony Ericsson guy... all turning against Google & Android it seems...

When I bought the droid it was because of Android not motorola. I'm in no way loyal to that company. In fact if there's a tie between two devices the motorola looses automatically. I think they should go for their own OS. In 3 years they'll be planning another come back. Just because you're title is CEO doesn't mean you are capable of doing the job.
Along those lines Samsung had their widgets for winmo that I never used and once the first rom came out they were gone.

I believe companies are trying to find something that users will get used to having and keep bringing them back. A type of customer loyalty. I dislike anything that's not availible in the stock OS for that reason.
