Media information in Honda

I don't know if it's my new Pixel XL or Android Oreo, but anything I'm playing via Bluetooth to my 2015 Honda Pilot doesn't show media information. Just says it's connected to the Pixel XL. It worked fine with my 6P. Do I need a firmware update in my car? If so, any ideas on how that's done?

There's a big thread on Google's Pixel User Forum discussing various Bluetooth issues in Android 8.0; I'm guessing that what you describe has likely been reported there.

There are some fixes that should be included with the October update (have you received that yet?), and I understand more are on the way.
