Hi, I have bought from Chinavasion media player that has Android 2.2 on it.
Chipset is sv8860

I have trying a his ability and some how I have managed to install some software that freeze media player.
So when I start player after device is booted when concerned software start it freeze device.
So I am wondering is there any way to hard reset device or to start "in safe mode" so i can delete software.
I have contacted manufacturer, as well as distributor, but they want me to send device back and they will repair it.
But sending it back cost me like new device

i have problem with this message on boot:

the application MainScreenTheme (process com.mainscreentheme) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

after press ok, this message show again. Maybe can set factory settings or something else?
 
I forgot on this post, my device is still dead.
The link that you provided doesnt work for my device, because i have skyvia 8860 chipset and it is rshtech.
I asked developer and reseller even skyvia... everyone for the firmware or update, but no positive result.
The answere is that I cant update firmware without them because they have to connect device to some kinda of machine that I don't have and that is the only way to update firmware.
I have tried everything, don't have any hidden reset buttons in a/v connectors or anywhere else.
The only thing that is working usb keyboard when I press alt+ctrl+del and than restart player, i tried to find some key combination that will start in safe mode or just shell or anything, but no luck.
I dont know is there any way to connect that device to computer with usb to usb, or what kind of machine is that they have it and i don't.
If anyone have any suggestion i will gladly try.
