Help Media storage problem with Legacy and sdcard0 folders

Hi All,

I have recently made all my media (photos, videos, downloads etc) disappear after playing with the storage folders..

Basically in the stock Sony album app it was showing duplicated of images that i had taken using and HDR camera app, so i looked where they were being saved which was in the storage/legacy/DCIM/HDR and storage/sdcard0/DCIM/HDR so what i tried doing was cutting the DCIM folders out (that were empty apart from the HDR folders) when connected to my PC and putting them onto my desktop (i didn't delete anything) checked the Album and app and it didn't work, so i then tried copying the folders back in but it didn't let me so i just created new ones the same as the ones i copied out, then i looked in back in the Album app and all my photos had disappeared along with my downloads etc.

I know it was probably a novice mistake but it just doesn't make sense how i deleted 300+ images with out seeing it, usually i would expect deleting that amount of data to take some time but i didn't see anything and the folders that i moved were empty!

Can anyone shed some light and tell me how i could possibly get my photos back? It seems to me with my limited knowledge that i just deleted the link to where the media is actually stored.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Lewis.
