Media volume controls alarm volume

I could swear that Media and Alarm volumes are supposed to be completely independent of each other. Alarm volume always overrides any other lower volume settings.

I'll go to bed playing audio from YouTube on my phone. Media volume set to about 20% and Alarm Volume set to 100%.

Alarm goes off and its at the same 20% volume as the Media volume is at.

Any ideas? Already did a factory reset and that didn't do anything

well a little more testing...if YouTube is playing in the background at 20% media volume, then the alarm going off will also be at 20% volume. If nothing is playing in the background, then the alarm sounds off at 100% like it should.

Wondering why YouTube playing messes up the alarm volume.

Tried the app you mentioned Dannydet and still the same issue. Even with Alarm volume locked.

EDIT: Seems any app playing audio screws the alarm volume...weird.

Seems the only solution is to use a sleep timer so it turn off YouTube while I'm sleeping and then my alarm will go off at 100% volume.
