Lurker
I noticed when I adjusted my media volume to 50% it was like muted and around 75% it sounds like 25% of the ringtone volume. Is that normal?

Another thing - I download kewl new sounds @ zedge for my message tone and it was really awesome until I noticed that the volume is halved when I set it for my msg tone. Is there something wrong with the settings? or is it built that way? :/

Root version 2.3.4 Samsung Galaxy Ace.

Please help me. Thank you ^-^

Android Assistant has a tool where you can set every volume level.
Like alarm, media, ring, message volume.

But the half-volume thing..maybe problem with your speaker? Same problem with earphones plugged in? Otherwise, some option you've set, limited volume or stuff like that?
Maybe you could reset to default system settings?

I don't think its my speakers though cause when I play it normally, say through music player, its volume @100% works but not when I use it for messages.

Basically. When I set my notification ringtone, its volume is @ its max. But when I receive a message, I can only here 50% of the its original volume even though I set it @ max. Does that mean that the ringtone volume for incoming calls and and messages aren't the same even when they are all set @ max?

I've never noticed that. But maybe it's normal, my volume for messages or calls is always @20%, but maybe there is some kind of limit, by samsung or android, that a message notification can't be to loud or stuff like that.

It's a weird problem to have (if it's a problem) no one ever mentioned a problem like that, but it would be rare if you're the only one having this problem :D
