Memory card not used?

I have the Motorola Moto G (2nd gen)
I installed a 32G micro sd card, I had expected this to compliment the rather lame internal memory. NOT! After more then a year there is almost none of the 32G used. What do I need to do to make use of this deep memory for apps, ect? Thank you everyone, Neil

Did you actually set your apps to use and store on the SD rather than internal storage? Because for many things like camera apps, music apps, video apps, etc. the default is to use internal storage unless set otherwise by the user. Often for things like cameras, the picture and video storage location options will be found in the settings.

Thank you mikedt, I looked through my settings, portable storage lists SanDisk sd card but no way to make the default.
I tried downloading Spotify, but again nowhere to designate SD card.

If you're assuming that you can just point any app you install to wherever you prefer, that's just not how it works. Some apps you can 'move' to a microSD card after you install (some of the code has to remain in the internal storage) but some don't allow this. Also, some apps have the option, usually in their Settings menu, to chose between internal storage or your card as the default place to store files, but again not all do.
