Memory card says it's full?

Hi all,

I've begun to have problems with apps that can't save data, and I can't take any photos due to lack of space. When I look up the memory card (that came with the phone) in windows, it first (when I check properties for the unit) says that it only has about 30mb of 1,83gb left. But when I browse "into" it (still in windows) and check properties for all files and folders there, it only adds upp to 350mb or so. And honestly, I can't think of what I would have that took 2gb of space.

Anyone have a clue as to what could secretly be stealing all the space?

Cheers!

I would transfer the data from the memory card to a PC then format the memory card.

Main Menu > Settings > SD Card & Phone Storage > Unmount SD Card > Format SD Card.

You can free up a lot of space by deleting the junk.
The following can be safely deleted
- demo videos in .demovideo folder - 160 mb
- user guide files - 500 mb

- three trial games in TryandBuy - 185 mb

you can also delete PC Companion for another 187 mb if you do not use it

Once you are done the total space taken on the SD card is only 263MB.

The easiest way to do this is with a card reader on the PC,, just plug it it and start deleting. You should make a backup by copying the whole card to a directory on the PC before you start in case you mess up.
