Help Memory issue switching phones between Galaxy Ace and Galaxy S

Hi, I don't know whether this is the right place to post this in but I'm trying to switch my Galaxy Ace with someone who has a Galaxy S and we've run into an issue about memory capacity. We've both tried backing up everything we could to our own SD cards, but it seems like she has a lot more data stored on her phone than I anticipated. After putting our SD cards into each other's phones the internal memory fills up straight away on the Galaxy Ace and won't let you open some files like music because it says "not enough memory" even though I can find all of the music files on her SD card. She wants to keep all of this data when she has the Galaxy Ace from me so I was thinking of buying a much larger capacity SD card that can store all the data currently saved to the Galaxy S's internal memory and then copying and pasting it over. Is this possible? We're both on the GiffGaff mobile network.

Thanks for any help anyone can give, sorry if the question has already been answered on another thread as well.

You cannot compare the two phones as the Ace has pathetic amount of memory, even though the files are on the sd card when u try to open then it requires memory & for v large files what
