Memory

Hello - Apologize in advance if this is covered in another thread, but I have had a hard time finding it. My phone's internal memory is practically full, yet I don't have much stored on the phone (a few photos of my kids and some apps). When I go to the "storage" area to see what is taking up all the space, I see two things:

App Storage - 5.60 GB/6.07 GB
Apps - 1.13 GB
Other - 4.47 GB
Available - 480 MB

Phone Storage - 9.08 GB/9.93 GB
Apps - 2.22 GB
Music - 1.38 GB
Photos & Videos - 1.30 GB
Other - 4.19 GB
Available 874 MB

What concerns me is the "Other" is eating the majority of my storage, and I don't know what the heck it is! Can anyone tell me - without getting technical, because I don't know what I'm doing - what, if anything, I can do about that? Right now, sometimes I have to delete photos and apps to get other apps to update because I'm getting an error message that there's not enough storage space to update my apps - honestly I don't have that many superfluous applications.

Much appreciated!
