Dunno, this one seems so obvious, its been missed by everyone.
On every other smartphone in the world, theres an option to drop your downloaded apps into a folder - media, entertainment, music, browsing etc.
On the HTC Hero, you just drop them straight onto the screen - which is a GOOD thing of course - but it does mean that things can tend to get a little cluttered and mixed up.
So - my suggestion for an app is an opaque type menu for the opening page which on pressing the appropriate heading would flick you over straight to the corresponding page, containing Music, Video, Social Networks, Photos, Messaging, Games, or maybe even the menu could be self-configured? Any new downloads could then be dragged to a correct page.
It would also look more easily accessible to an outsider looking on, especially if at the top of each page there was a heading (around the same size as the googlesearch widget) containing the page title rather than having a pile of mix-n-match apps on every page.
